The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon BaySpring Fling was founded by Sarah and Don Lucas, whose daughter Mary was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 1998. Since its inception, this event has brought together committed volunteers and supportive members of the community, raising more than $4.6 million for diabetes research. This eXtreme outing brings 180 competitive golfers, 120 ladies who lunch and 350 evening bash revelers from Silicon Valley, San Francisco, and from around the Bay Area to The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay for 16 hours of community, networking and fundraising.
